Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes will rock you with circus punk rock and deliver maximum chaos to the stage when they perform their wild brand of music that is sure to energize your night or day! The band are from Indianapolis, Indiana and have been driving their music with maximum intensity for over ten years and going strong with their brand of wild insanity. They released Pipsqueaks’ From Planet Fur in 2019 and were in the studio again working on a new album last Fall.
The band features three of the most intense and wild rocking musicians on the planet with Davey Gravey on guitar and vocals, Abby Hart on bass and Ayesh McKee hammers the drums.
Mr. Clit and the Pink Cigarettes deliver the ultimate punk rock experience. The energy, the insanity, the intensity and feel that is addicting and spontaneous. Their music unleashes wildness from the heart and soul and just rocks with ferocity and attitude. “I think we really came out of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and John waters movies and about a bazillion bands we all liked! As to how we formed Abigail’s stepdad had a bunch of stuff in the basement and we just wanted to go mess with all of it so that’s exactly what we did. We recorded songs before we were even really a band. Our first idea was to have all our friends be in it but then when people didn’t want to really be involved in anything besides recording we switched things up taught Ayesh the drums and started playing shows!”
“We might be Circus Punk?! We were told recently that we sound like the Pixies and B-52s made a Halloween punk band and that was such a nice comment!!
They draw inspiration from practically everything and know how to deliver something unique with their talents. “All things! Tons of movies, music, and real stuff we hear about…some songs come out of just funny sentences I’ve heard.” Never really had any goals when we started this band but the things we have been able to do by just being in this band have been awesome so I think we have achieved way more than we would have thought we would. If anything we would like to play more all ages shows so maybe it inspires more young people to start a band like we were inspired!”
They bring a wild and fierce energy to the stage Davey says, “Redbull and assorted Gummies! And just having fun. I think we just have a blast playing even in the worst of circumstances. Piss Abigail off and she will play even better! (can we say this? Is piss allowed???)” We enjoy pissing each other off for sport!! (Dang! Again is piss allowed?)
